This notice explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what your rights are. It's written in plain English, with no small print.

Who I am

Small Print Media is run by Karl Kane, a sole trader based in Dublin, Ireland. I am the data controller for this website. You can contact me at hello@smallprintmedia.ie.

What I collect and why

If you fill in the contact form or email me, I receive your name, business name, phone number or email address, and your message. I use this only to reply to you and, if you ask, to prepare a quote or mock-up. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

I don't sell your data, and I don't add you to a mailing list.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts are stored on this website, so loading a page doesn't send your details to Google or any other font service.

Who else handles your data

• Cloudflare hosts this website and keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep it secure.
• Web3Forms delivers contact form messages to my inbox.
• My email provider stores the messages I send and receive.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on approved safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long I keep it

If we don't end up working together, I delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you become a client, I keep records for as long as Irish tax law requires, which is currently six years.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how I use it. Email hello@smallprintmedia.ie and I'll reply within one month. If you're not happy, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
